As backyards shrink and property prices boom, it’s no wonder more Aussies than ever are turning to tiny houses to make the most of all corners of their precious real estate. Tiny Blox are on a mission to solve real world housing challenges, and our kit homes are specifically designed to fit in the most surprising spaces. Our customers fit their dream tiny home into even the teeniest corners of their property, and our layouts are versatile and customisable to suit your needs. Australia’s most compact and versatile homes Your Tiny Blox structure is pre-fabricated, and all the components you need to complete the structure of your home are included in your kit set. This means your Tiny Blox home is not just simple to construct, you can also get your tiny house into even the most awkward spots without the usual roadblocks of traditional builds. Our tiny homes are incredibly compact, with our smallest structures just 10m2 - around the same size of the average Aussie bedroom. This means we’ve seen Tiny Blox customers use our tiny homes for a host of out-of-the box purposes in unexpected places. Tiny Blox is the tiny house that fits just about anywhere Thanks to the small size and affordability of our tiny homes, the only limit to how you use your Tiny Blox is your imagination. The next level pool shed A fully decked out Tiny Blox can really take the traditional pool house up a notch. With your dream pool house in the yard, you not only enjoy your pool more, but also keep the fun (and mess) in the yard for longer. Our customers have decked out their Tiny Blox pool houses with toilet and kitchenette facilities, storage for all the maintenance bits and bobs plus everything you need for post-swim relaxing. You can even include a shower to wash off after a big swim before you head inside. A Tiny House for the even greater outdoors Our Tiny Blox are not just for tiny spaces. Our customers build their dream dwellings on empty land for the ideal beach shack, lake house or farm cabin. A tiny home minimises your footprint on the landscape, with each corner of your dwelling maximised to make the most of your compact space. Your tiny home makes your little slice of heaven the perfect retreat from the city - your very own cosy, intimate oasis in nature. Make the most of your courtyard Our tiny houses are so compact that you’ll even find Tiny Blox in townhouse courtyards. Nowhere is space at more of a premium than in Australia’s inner cities, so a tiny house is a perfect addition not just as a granny flat, but even to attract regular rental income in your prime location. A getaway for parents and kids to get a break Our customers turn the term “granny flat” itself on its head. With prohibitive property prices keeping adult children at home with mum and dad, the grown up kids can now move out of the main house to the brand new tiny home in the backyard. This is an affordable way for everyone - parents and kids - to get some much needed independence. Teenagers’ video games and weird hours driving you nuts? Our Tiny Blox homes have even been used as teen retreats to give parents a bit of reprieve, and big kids some independence and responsibility! Ready to explore the possibilities for your tiny home? Back in 2010, we really started to see man caves take off in a big way. The idea was simple: a man cave was a private and personal space for a man to relax, usually filled with all of his favourite things like big screen TVs, sports memorabilia, video game consoles, and toolkits. The trend grew and grew for a few years, before falling off in popularity. Even though many men loved the idea of a man cave, most of their creations missed the mark. Too many took the 'cave' name literally, being dark and dingy sheds or dens that weren't too comfortable to spend time in. The tiny home movement is helping to bring man caves back, and Tiny Blox, Australia's premier kit home designer, is leading the way. Bringing Man Caves Back Offering fully customisable, premium built kit set homes, Tiny Blox is helping men all across Australia live out their man cave dreams in style. Why settle for a rickety old shed when you could have a deluxe, steel frame structure, designed to the highest standards and fitted out with all you need for a little 'man time'? Man caves can be very important spaces, allowing men to express healthy masculinity and providing busy and sometimes stressed-out males with a space they can really relax and feel at ease. Tiny Blox wants to help men all over Australia enjoy these kinds of spaces, tailoring its designs to meet the needs of the modern man. The Man Cave Of Your Dreams Part of what makes Tiny Blox such a great choice for your man cave is the sheer array of customisable designs and optional add-ons, effectively allowing you to imagine the ideal man cave in your mind and then bring it to life, with our help. Are you handy on the tools, and keen to get involved in the build of your very own tiny home? Or maybe you’re a great organiser and ready to sink your teeth into a new project. If coordinating trades, getting your hands dirty and saving money is up your alley, a DIY build of your Tiny Blox home could be your next exciting project. When you purchase your Tiny Blox kit home, we handle the design and supply of the core components, however we don’t build or install onsite. You have the option to either DIY the build, or we can connect you with a reputable local building contractor to complete this work if you would prefer to outsource. What are the DIY options? Many of our customers think that the term “Owner Builder” requires them to be fluent in the ins and outs of the building trade, and actually complete the build of their tiny home themselves. The beauty of the simplified Tiny Blox build system is that if you’ve got some construction experience, you can absolutely complete a lot of the work yourself. Full instructions come with your kit, and you can outsource to relevant trades when needed. However the Owner Builder option can also be taken by anyone who has the time, and can use a phone! Is DIY right for you? Many Tiny Blox customers who are after a lower cost, minimalistic alternative to the traditional building process opt to DIY and find the process straightforward, and even fun. If you choose DIY and manage the tradespeople yourself, you can cut out the builder’s margin and save around 20%. Many of our customers also say they enjoy the sense of control over the build and love the feeling of putting together their kit home themselves. What is Owner Builder licensing? Owner Builder doesn’t mean you need to build your tiny home yourself. The license allows you to hire and manage tradespeople such as carpenters, plumbers, electricians, that you’ll need to complete your tiny home build. You don’t have to actually do any of the drilling and hammering yourself, unless that’s your thing! Becoming an owner-builder is easier and quicker than you may think, but does require you to obtain a licence. While there are a few steps to go through to get the relevant permit in your state, you can enjoy significant savings by not using a traditional builder to oversee construction. How to obtain an Owner Builder licence in your state The steps involved to get an Owner Builder license vary from state to state. Queensland:

Think a Tiny Blox home could be your next exciting project? Speak to a Tiny Blox Consultant to discover how simple building a tiny house in your backyard can be. Your Tiny Blox home may come to you in a box, but that doesn’t mean you’re stuck with a cookie cutter kit home that looks like everyone else’s. In fact, the possibilities are endless when it comes to the design of your unique tiny home. Whether you’re building a granny flat, cubby house, or your very own man cave, your Tiny Blox is your own bespoke creation so you can design the functional and stylish tiny home of your dreams. While all Tiny Blox kits come standard with the features that make our tiny homes high quality and durable, there are many opportunities for customisation in the design process. From the very initial stages of the selection process, you get to choose from a wide range design and practical options, from the shell, to layout right down to colours, finishes and optional extras for a tiny home design that is truly yours. Choose your kit home shell The first step in creating your very own Tiny Blox home is to choose the shell which best fits your needs. There’s a Tiny Blox shell size and design to suit just about any backyard, and we give you the options to select a high impact kit home that fits into even the tightest of spots. Choose from 15 different options to suit your budget and the size of the area available, starting from 10 square metre studios right through to five bedroom homes. Can’t find the exact Tiny Blox shell you’re after? Thanks to our unique Connect IQ option, you can create virtually any design you can imagine by connecting two or more Tiny Blox structures together using direct connect or internal or external walkways. This allows you to mix and match your pre-engineered Tiny Blox shells to create your perfect tiny home. Within the structure of your tiny home, your layout is also completely up to you. This means you get to choose the functions and features of your dwelling that truly suit your lifestyle and needs. Select your flooring options Next, you’ll choose to either build your tiny home on either a concrete slab or using a steel floor system. This choice comes down to how permanent you want your dwelling to be. Standard supply is without a floor structure, and is for those who plan to build their Tiny Blox on a concrete slab. If you’d prefer a lower impact alternative, the floor system option provides an elevated design which includes eco footings that don’t require concrete. Keep in mind that without a concrete slab, your dwelling could be considered “temporary”. The Tiny Blox steel floor system includes footings designed to nail in the ground without the need for concrete, as well as the joists and bearers required to build your floor. You’ll also receive a yellow tongue particle board floor substrate or timber decking if outdoors. Inside your tiny home, you get to choose the vinyl flooring finish that suits your taste and style of your home. Our Tiny Blox homes come standard with premium Acoustic Luxfeel flooring in a range of eight different colours, from beach oak, to blackbutt and chestnut, to help you create a look and feel for your home that you love. Choose your external plasterboard cladding The finish, profile and colour of your external cladding is possibly the biggest impact choice for really creating a tiny home design that stands out. We offer four striking plasterboard cladding options by Weathertex which really change the look and feel of your Tiny Blox home. Choose between a woodgrain or smooth finish to customise the look of your dwelling. The 150mm profile Weathergroove Woodsman is a rough surface timber look cladding for a more rustic finish. The Weathergroove Smooth range is a smooth surface cladding for a more modern, minimalistic design, and comes in 300mm, 600mm and 1200mm profiles. You can further customise the look and style of your external cladding by painting it the colour of your choosing. Add on your extra fixtures A pool house needs completely different facilities to a granny flat or recording studio, so the fixtures you’ll need to make your tiny home function best for you will be different from your neighbour. Tiny Blox offers a wide range of optional extras to suit your needs. You can add on features like a kitchen kit, shower kit, instantaneous hot water and even air-conditioning.
Purchase your appliances, sink and extras directly so you get exactly what you want.
Colour Schemes There are many opportunities for colour customisation in your Tiny Blox home. This means you can design a tiny home that matches the colour scheme of your existing home and suits your unique tastes. You can paint the external internal cladding of your house any colour you prefer. You’ll also choose from a range of modern Colourbond colours for your roof, fascia and gutters. Finally, you get to choose the colour of your aluminium glass sliding doors. These choices can really help create continuity between your existing house and tiny home to create a luxury, bespoke feel. Tie it all together with decor, interior design and furniture Finally, you’ll add your own personal flair to your tiny home just as you would in your primary house, with your own furniture and decor choices. It’s these little details that elevate your Tiny Blox home to a luxurious space that speaks to your personal style. Ready to start the design process of your unique Tiny Blox creation?
