Your Tiny Blox home may come to you in a box, but that doesn’t mean you’re stuck with a cookie cutter kit home that looks like everyone else’s. In fact, the possibilities are endless when it comes to the design of your unique tiny home. Whether you’re building a granny flat, cubby house, or your very own man cave, your Tiny Blox is your own bespoke creation so you can design the functional and stylish tiny home of your dreams. While all Tiny Blox kits come standard with the features that make our tiny homes high quality and durable, there are many opportunities for customisation in the design process. From the very initial stages of the selection process, you get to choose from a wide range design and practical options, from the shell, to layout right down to colours, finishes and optional extras for a tiny home design that is truly yours. Choose your kit home shell The first step in creating your very own Tiny Blox home is to choose the shell which best fits your needs. There’s a Tiny Blox shell size and design to suit just about any backyard, and we give you the options to select a high impact kit home that fits into even the tightest of spots. Choose from 15 different options to suit your budget and the size of the area available, starting from 10 square metre studios right through to five bedroom homes. Can’t find the exact Tiny Blox shell you’re after? Thanks to our unique Connect IQ option, you can create virtually any design you can imagine by connecting two or more Tiny Blox structures together using direct connect or internal or external walkways. This allows you to mix and match your pre-engineered Tiny Blox shells to create your perfect tiny home. Within the structure of your tiny home, your layout is also completely up to you. This means you get to choose the functions and features of your dwelling that truly suit your lifestyle and needs. Select your flooring options Next, you’ll choose to either build your tiny home on either a concrete slab or using a steel floor system. This choice comes down to how permanent you want your dwelling to be. Standard supply is without a floor structure, and is for those who plan to build their Tiny Blox on a concrete slab. If you’d prefer a lower impact alternative, the floor system option provides an elevated design which includes eco footings that don’t require concrete. Keep in mind that without a concrete slab, your dwelling could be considered “temporary”. The Tiny Blox steel floor system includes footings designed to nail in the ground without the need for concrete, as well as the joists and bearers required to build your floor. You’ll also receive a yellow tongue particle board floor substrate or timber decking if outdoors. Inside your tiny home, you get to choose the vinyl flooring finish that suits your taste and style of your home. Our Tiny Blox homes come standard with premium Acoustic Luxfeel flooring in a range of eight different colours, from beach oak, to blackbutt and chestnut, to help you create a look and feel for your home that you love. Choose your external plasterboard cladding The finish, profile and colour of your external cladding is possibly the biggest impact choice for really creating a tiny home design that stands out. We offer four striking plasterboard cladding options by Weathertex which really change the look and feel of your Tiny Blox home. Choose between a woodgrain or smooth finish to customise the look of your dwelling. The 150mm profile Weathergroove Woodsman is a rough surface timber look cladding for a more rustic finish. The Weathergroove Smooth range is a smooth surface cladding for a more modern, minimalistic design, and comes in 300mm, 600mm and 1200mm profiles. You can further customise the look and style of your external cladding by painting it the colour of your choosing. Add on your extra fixtures A pool house needs completely different facilities to a granny flat or recording studio, so the fixtures you’ll need to make your tiny home function best for you will be different from your neighbour. Tiny Blox offers a wide range of optional extras to suit your needs. You can add on features like a kitchen kit, shower kit, instantaneous hot water and even air-conditioning.
Purchase your appliances, sink and extras directly so you get exactly what you want.
Colour Schemes There are many opportunities for colour customisation in your Tiny Blox home. This means you can design a tiny home that matches the colour scheme of your existing home and suits your unique tastes. You can paint the external internal cladding of your house any colour you prefer. You’ll also choose from a range of modern Colourbond colours for your roof, fascia and gutters. Finally, you get to choose the colour of your aluminium glass sliding doors. These choices can really help create continuity between your existing house and tiny home to create a luxury, bespoke feel. Tie it all together with decor, interior design and furniture Finally, you’ll add your own personal flair to your tiny home just as you would in your primary house, with your own furniture and decor choices. It’s these little details that elevate your Tiny Blox home to a luxurious space that speaks to your personal style. Ready to start the design process of your unique Tiny Blox creation?
